AI preps. You read. One real deal.

The deal: an AE is selling a forecasting tool to a mid-size revenue team. The first call had the VP of Sales, the CFO and a RevOps manager. The CFO joined late, cut into the overview, and asked “what does this cost us and when would we see it?”

Step 1 · AI preps

Let AI do the summary, not the judgment

The AE gives AI the call transcript and asks for facts only. AI is fast at sorting what was said. It is not allowed to guess who these people are.

Sample promptSummarize this call transcript. List every person on the call, their title, and what each one said they care about, using their exact words. Note any questions that were not answered. Do not guess anyone's personality or motives.

Step 2 · You read

The seller reads the person

The AE reads the CFO from what they observed, using the Pivot Personality Matrix™. This is the human part: tone, timing and what the person did, not just what they said.

ObservedJoined late and cut into the overview.
ObservedAsked for cost and timing, nothing about features.

The readLikely Red, The Captain: wants the bottom line, fast, and control of the decision.

Public lessons show one color and one read. The full cue library for all five colors stays inside Quota Mastery™.

Step 3 · AI drafts

Aim the AI at the person

Now AI writes, but the seller tells it who it is writing for.

Sample promptDraft a follow up to the CFO. This buyer wants the bottom line first and wants to control the decision. Keep it under 80 words: lead with the outcome they asked about, give three short points, and end with one clear decision for them to make.

Generic AI follow up

Thanks so much for your time today! It was great to learn about your team. As promised, I have attached our overview deck, three case studies and a product sheet. Our platform offers a wide range of features, including...

Long, about us, and buries what the CFO asked.

Tailored to a Red Captain

You asked what it costs and when you would see it.

  • Cost: the one number we discussed
  • Timing: first forecast in the first month
  • Risk: a short pilot with an exit

Your call: should we hold 20 minutes Thursday to approve the pilot?

Short, theirs, and ends with their decision.

Step 4 · You own it

Verify, then send as yourself

The AE checks every fact against the call, removes anything the buyer did not say, and only sends what they would say face to face. Buyers already trust AI less than people, so the human check is where trust is earned.

AI drafts. You decide. Nothing goes out you would not say in the room.

For sales leaders

The same loop, run as a team

  • In deal reviews, ask two questions: “What did AI prep?” and “What color is each stakeholder, and how do you know?”
  • Share prompt standards, not scripts: the team uses the same summary and draft prompts, and every rep owns the read.
  • Coach the read: managers review one tailored follow up per rep each week against the color they chose.
  • Map the room: every stakeholder in the Mutual Outcome Plan™ gets an owner and a color, so no one in the decision is a stranger.

The full team version, with the cue library, prompt library and coaching rubric, is part of the paid team offers.

That was one buyer, one deal.

The other four, and how to read a whole buying group, are inside Quota Mastery™.
